We have had several customers talk with us about the possibility of knitting helmet liners for our troops. We are going to set aside Monday afternoons through the fall to work on these. We have the pattern and the yarn required. Yarn purchased for this project will be 25% off.
We will also continue to have “sit and knit” on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. There is a wonderful group of women who come and knit, laugh, talk, and just have fun. Join us any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday afternoon.

Fall 2010- Knitting Class Schedule
Pre-registration and a 50% non-refundable deposit are required for all classes. Some classes are limited in size so be sure to sign up early. Evening classes need a minimum of 4 people enrolled. Come in and purchase your yarn, needles, and pattern before the class begins. Class time will be devoted to knitting.
UFO / Pick-Your-Own-Project
This class was named for those “Un-Finished-Objects” we all have hidden away. But it could just as easily be called “Anything Goes!” This class is for any project you would like to do. Simply find a UFO / Pick-Your-Own-Project class that works for you.
6 sessions of 4 classes each:
Tues. 7:00-9:00 PM, 9/14-10/26 (no class on 10/5 & 10/12)
Thurs. 9:30-11:30 AM, 9/16-10-28 (no class on 10/7 & 10/14)
Thurs. 1:00-3:00 PM, 9/16-10/28 (no class on 10/7 & 10/14)
Tues. 7:00-9:00 PM, 11/9-12/14 (no class on 11/23)
Thurs. 9:30-11:30 AM, 11/11-1216 (no class on 11/25)
OR you can sign up for just one class if you don't need a 5-week session.

* One-class fee (1 class): $12
Beginner Knitting
This is a true beginner class. We will cover casting on, knitting, purling, binding off, increasing, and decreasing while making something fun and useful. You will finish this class with a good basic understanding of knitting and 3 dishcloths.
* Please choose one of the above UFO/Pick-Your-Own-Project Class times.
* Supplies: 3 skeins worsted weight cotton yarn, size 8 needles.
* Class fee: $50
In this class you will learn the techniques of modular knitting while making either an afghan or shawl. The pattern is written for Mushishi yarn which is a self-striping yarn. The project can also be done with other yarn choices including the possibility of using many different colors an creating a quilt-effect. Come in and see the sample that Amy is creating to get an idea of the project.
Also, be sure to sign up early so that we can make sure that your choice of Mushishi color is available for you if this yarn is your choice for the project.
